Slowly getting back on track with the blog entry writing. I have several topics lined up, but they are fast approaching their sell-by dates as I procrastinate and fail at time management.
Due to other time constraints (mostly exhaustion brought about by coming home from work, doing chores, and having to lug around a massive ball of fetus and amniotic fluid) I haven’t been able to devote as much time and care to my two (yes, two) LAMP virtual servers: Natty Narwhal with the PHP install that broke MySQL, and the cryptic Ubuntu server whose LAMP is A-OK… but insists on speaking to me through command lines. I needed these babies to work perfectly so I could simulate a local WordPress installation before I fork up the subscription fee for a domain and a web host.
The learning curve is steep and needs much devotion, and sometimes my swollen feet and aching back just make me want to catch some shut-eye. I’m obviously milking my pregnancy woes.
Jumpstarting the dormant blog because of financial desperation. Ha-ha.
No, seriously. I’m conceptualizing the beginnings of a formal online presence. A content-heavy, SEO-flirty, business-ready powerhouse web address showcasing my profound talents in several areas: web design and development, programming, writing, photography and graphic design.
Excuse the hyperbole. After all, creative advertising is the name of the game.
Too drawn thin to write anything of note. Was thinking about scouring the web for some inspirational art to copy. Friend requested that I draw a Magic the Gathering card for his birthday. Need to whip these drawing skills into shape. Sadly, the flu has worn me down; the initial burst of energy, anger and caffeine that sustained me during the day has faded.
Got to thinking about posting code snippets around here. Who knows, I might find them useful someday. Maybe even institute a humble code project a week shindig. Preferably with a language or framework that I’m interested in. Like fun with jQuery. Because jQuery is the bees’ knees.
